Last week, BERCHANCE officially completed the manufacturing, inspection, and ocean-freight loading of 60 units of ASME-U certified horizontal carbon steel pressure vessels.
This major batch of equipment has been dispatched to North America to support a large-scale local infrastructure project.
Each tailored tank measures approximately 10 meters in length and weighs nearly 4 tons. Moving from raw material processing to final harbor shipment within a strict two-month timeline, this project showcases BERCHANCE’s scalable manufacturing capabilities and rigorous commitment to global lead times.
"Scaling production is not simply about making more vessels. It requires consistent engineering, disciplined quality control, and reliable delivery execution across every unit."
ASME-U Certification: The Definitive Trust Pass for Global Markets
The American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME) certification is globally recognized as one of the highest benchmarks in pressure vessel manufacturing.
Rather than a mere paper certificate, the ASME framework represents a comprehensive quality assurance system covering engineering calculations, material traceability, welding procedures, and rigorous non-destructive testing.

Under the ASME framework, every component of each vessel is fully traceable. Design calculations are formally audited, welding consumables are matched strictly to Welding Procedure Specifications (WPS), and non-destructive examination (NDE) must satisfy precise code thresholds.

Ultimately, each unit is stamped with a unique ASME "U" logo, providing clear accountability and demonstrating compliance with the applicable pressure vessel requirements.
For the North American market, ASME certification is the strict baseline regulatory requirement. It provides international authorities and clients with institutional backing regarding a vessel’s safety over its designed operational life.

These 60 TES tanks were fabricated strictly according to the client's blueprints and technical specifications, with every process step fully aligned with the ASME quality manual to support long-term system stability on-site.
60 Custom Tanks in 2 Months: A Masterclass in Industrial Scaling
Fabricating 60 specialized pressure vessels, each approximately 10 meters long and weighing nearly 4 tons, within a tight two-month window demands a mature supply chain, coordinated workshop scheduling, and highly efficient production management.
To meet the required lead time, the production workflow was optimized into three overlapping core phases covering cutting and forming, assembly and structural welding, and inspection, hydro-testing, and surface coating.

Cutting & Forming: Building Accurate Cylinder Sections
Heavy carbon steel plates were processed via high-precision CNC cutting before moving to the plate bending rollers.
Through sequential rolling, longitudinal seam welding, and re-rolling calibrations, flat steel was transformed into highly accurate cylinder sections.
Achieving excellent straightness across a 10-meter horizontal span requires strict tolerance control at this foundational stage.
Assembly & Structural Welding: Protecting Pressure Vessel Integrity
Dished ends were fit up to the shell sections, followed by root-pass and cover-pass circumferential welding.
Manways, saddle supports, internal baffles, and structural components were sequentially assembled and welded.
Inspection, Hydro-Testing & Surface Coating
Upon clearing non-destructive examination, including RT and UT, every tank advanced to the hydrostatic testing sector to verify its pressure-bearing capability under full design loads.
Afterward, the vessels underwent intensive internal and external surface treatments, including abrasive sandblasting for rust removal and the application of high-performance anti-corrosion industrial coatings to resist environmental degradation.
"From raw material re-testing to final finished-product verification, quality control remained continuous throughout the entire production timeline."
Continuous Quality Control and 100% Data Traceability
Throughout the entire timeline, quality control remained continuous. From raw material re-testing to inter-process mutual checks and final finished-product verification, a standalone quality dossier was generated for each tank.
This documentation system ensured 100% data traceability across the production process and provided a complete quality record for every individual vessel.
